Comfort Onyaga (Comfort Adaora Okafor) is a strategic leader and systems thinker with over a decade of experience spanning market systems development, international development, climate policy, and sustainable urban design. Her work bridges the Global South and Global North, addressing food systems transformation, circular economy models, and resilience planning. She has delivered programs and policy initiatives for partners including DFAT, UKaid, the European Union, USAID, Palladium, and Chevron’s PIND Foundation, and has contributed to long-term urban food resilience strategies in Australia and Nigeria.
Comfort is recognized for leading global partnerships and innovative initiatives tackling sustainability challenges, food insecurity, and circular food systems. She serves on multiple boards, including IFAMA and Policy Shapers, and has delivered keynote addresses at global platforms such as the FAO World Food Forum in Rome. She also serves as Secretary of the Environment Committee at UNAA-WA, contributing to environmental advocacy and policy engagement within multilateral contexts. As an Executive Fellow in Sustainability in Tech at The Digital Economist, Comfort brings a multidisciplinary approach that integrates applied research, policy design, and implementation science.
