About the job

We are looking for a driven, analytically minded, and creatively curious early-career professional to join TDE as a Growth Marketing Associate. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate with a background in marketing, economics, communications, or a related field who wants to do meaningful work at the intersection of ideas, data, and global impact.

This is a hybrid role spanning three interconnected areas: demand generation and growth marketing, social media and digital analytics, and partnership and ecosystem support. You will work directly with the CMO and have real visibility into TDE’s full marketing and partnership operation from day one.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate (bachelor’s or master’s) in marketing, economics, communications, business, public policy, or a related field
  • Analytically minded, you are comfortable with data and enjoy turning numbers into a story
  • A strong writer and communicator who can adapt tone if needed across LinkedIn posts, outreach emails, and internal reports
  • Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing track of details
  • Genuinely curious about the digital economy, emerging technology, climate, and global governance
  • Comfortable working across time zones in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment
  • You have had at least one relevant experience: internship, research role, student organization, or equivalent where you were responsible for an output, not just a task

Skills & Tools

Required

  • Social media management and content scheduling (LinkedIn, Instagram, and/or similar)
  • Basic data analysis and reporting, comfortable reading metrics and building simple dashboards
  • Strong written communication and copywriting
  • Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office proficiency

Nice to Have

  • Google Analytics 4, SEMrush, or similar web/SEO analytics tools
  • Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar)
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Airtable, or Notion)
  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar for content creation
  • Python, R, or Power BI for data visualization (a plus, not a requirement)
  • Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) or AI-assisted content tools

Responsibilities

Demand Generation & Growth Marketing

  • Support the build-out of TDE’s demand generation function, including email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach sequences, and event-driven lead generation
  • Assist with campaign planning, execution, and A/B testing across digital channels to drive Fellow, IRN, and event pipeline growth
  • Help develop and maintain audience segmentation to ensure the right messages reach the right stakeholders at the right time
  • Contribute to marketing automation setup and CRM hygiene (contacts, tagging, pipeline stages) to make campaign activity trackable and scalable

Social Media & Digital Analytics

  • Own day-to-day social media campaign tracking ROI and community management across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other active channels
  • Build and maintain a social media metrics dashboard tracking reach, engagement, follower growth, and content performance
  • Produce regular performance reports with insights and recommendations for the CMO and broader leadership team
  • Monitor digital analytics across TDE’s web and email channels using tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or equivalent
  • Identify trends in content performance and translate data into actionable content and channel strategy recommendations

Partnership & Ecosystem Support

  • Research and identify prospective partners, Fellows, and institutional members across corporate, nonprofit, academic, and government sectors
  • Support outreach, meeting preparation, briefing documents, and follow-up for partnership conversations
  • Help coordinate engagement with TDE’s Fellow, Alumni, and Global Ambassador networks
  • Track and share metrics for global convenings including UNGA, Davos, and TDE’s Innovation Hub Social Hour series
Why The Digital Economist

This is a rare entry point into global convening, institutional marketing, and policy-adjacent work. You will support campaigns and conversations that reach audiences at Davos and UNGA, build real analytical and partnership skills under senior mentorship, and grow a professional network that most people spend years trying to access.

  • Direct mentorship from the CMO with exposure to TDE’s full marketing and partnerships operation
  • Hands-on ownership of social media, analytics, and demand generation, not just support tasks
  • Visibility into TDE’s global convenings and the institutions and leaders that attend them
  • A mission-driven, intellectually alive team that takes ideas seriously and moves with purpose
  • Clear growth path toward a senior marketing or ecosystem role as TDE scales
  • Flexible, globally distributed work environment
