Japneet Kaur is a multidisciplinary leader operating at the intersection of cybersecurity, governance, creativity, and sustainability, with more than fourteen years of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, public-sector institutions, and academic organizations. Her background spans enterprise cybersecurity, data governance, and large-scale program leadership, grounded in deep technical and strategic expertise. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College (CUNY) and New York Institute of Technology, contributing to the development of the next generation of technology, risk, and governance leaders.
Alongside her technology leadership, Japneet is an internationally recognized artist, illustrator, and storyteller whose work has been featured by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and global initiatives advancing women in STEM. Her visual storytelling—including illustrations for the Amazon bestseller Ripping Off the Hoodies and leadership within ISACA New York—has become a powerful platform for expanding representation, accessibility, and leadership pathways in technology. As an author-illustrator, she recently debuted Green Kids Chronicle at Cannes Lions and is developing the UN-endorsed children’s book Sing with Earth and Me ABC, translating complex issues such as cyber risk, climate action, and equity into accessible narratives for both executives and future generations.
As Non-Executive Chair in Cyber Studio at The Digital Economist, Japneet brings a systems-level perspective to cyber governance, resilience, and human-centered security. Her global impact includes moderating conversations at NYC Climate Week, delivering creative leadership workshops for organizations such as Microsoft, Netflix, Fortinet, and IPG, and receiving honors including recognition from the New York State Senate for STEM volunteerism. She serves on the ISACA New York Metropolitan Board of Directors and as a Board Member of I.WILL. She holds three master’s degrees from Columbia University in Finance, Marketing, and Cybersecurity, alongside advanced certifications in Six Sigma, PMP, ITIL, and Data Analytics—anchoring her creative influence in rigorous technical and strategic practice.
