Javier Marti is a technology entrepreneur and engineering leader specializing in real-time water intelligence, environmental risk, and critical infrastructure resilience. He is Founder and CEO of Divirod, where he is building data and intelligence systems that provide real-time visibility into water dynamics and water-related risks, from scarcity to natural disasters. His work combines advanced data, engineering, and infrastructure expertise to help organizations better understand and respond to environmental risks.
Before founding Divirod, Javier led some of the world's most technically complex scientific and engineering programs. He served as Head of the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) and Project Manager of its $430 million construction and operations program, where he turned around the project and accelerated delivery by a factor of 100 in 20 months. Earlier, he held engineering and systems leadership roles at the European Southern Observatory, including Lead System Engineer for the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and E-ELT Project Engineer. He also spent more than 12 years at the European Space Agency, where he managed the development and delivery of space instruments involving more than 30 international partners and served as System Engineer for the Solar Orbiter mission. His career spans water intelligence, environmental science, space systems, large-scale engineering, international program management, and the delivery of complex infrastructure under conditions of uncertainty.
