Shrey Goyal is an economist and public policy professional working at the intersection of technology policy, fiscal policy, sustainable development, and economic growth. He currently serves as a Young Professional in the Perspective Planning & Visioning Division of NITI Aayog, Government of India.

Shrey holds an MSc in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics and a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Delhi’s Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, where he also pursued Mathematics as a minor. He has further specialized in Business Analytics through a diploma program from the Indian Institute of Management Indore.

His professional experience spans public policy, economic research, sustainability, and governance. Prior to joining NITI Aayog, he worked with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, contributing to policy research and analysis across regulatory reform, MSME development, corporate governance, and public programs. His earlier experience includes research and policy roles with the United Nations ESCAP, University of Oxford, Koan Advisory Group, and the Government of Delhi.

His areas of interest include innovation economics, climate finance, technology policy, and public policy. As a Global Ambassador for Tech Policy and Governance, Shrey contributes an economics and policy perspective to discussions on emerging technologies, governance frameworks, and their implications for sustainable and inclusive economic development.
