Akande Emmanuel is a business consultant, researcher, and sustainability specialist focused on sustainable capital markets, food security, and data-driven economic analysis. He is Sustainability Assistant Manager with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Doha, where he supports the implementation of sustainability management systems and the integration of environmental and social practices across venues, logistics, and procurement for major sporting events. He also serves as Business Development Manager at Icelis Global. His work includes monitoring environmental performance, supporting carbon reduction and waste diversion goals, and contributing to sustainability reporting, knowledge transfer, and legacy initiatives.

Akande previously served as a Research Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where his research examined sustainable and green capital markets, the use of debt capital markets to support net-zero food security, comparative food governance and food systems, and the relationship between sustainable agricultural development and food security. His earlier experience includes economic research at ServaBP International in Paris, where he analyzed financial markets, socioeconomic trends, and economic indicators to inform strategy and forecasting, as well as research roles at Université Paris 13 and Crawford University. He also worked as a Data Analyst at the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Health in Oyo State, Nigeria. His technical background includes econometrics, quantitative and qualitative research, data modeling and visualization, and tools including Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Stata, R, and SPSS.
