Catherine Atkin is a climate impact attorney, policy strategist, and climate data specialist focused on building the legal and digital infrastructure needed to accelerate decarbonization and climate finance. She is Co-Founder and Senior Fellow of the SME Data Unlock Alliance at the Bellona Foundation, where she works with governments and stakeholders to develop automated sustainability data exchange systems that help small and medium-sized enterprises access climate data, meet reporting and procurement requirements, and participate in green finance. She is also Law x Climate Co-chair and CodeX Fellow at Stanford CodeX, where she brings together legal, climate, technology, and policy experts to examine how AI, blockchain, and other digital technologies can strengthen climate data standards and market infrastructure. Catherine previously launched Carbon Accountable and served as the architect and chief technical and legal advisor on California's SB 253 corporate greenhouse gas emissions reporting law.
