Mark Esposito, PhD, is a public policy scholar, economist, and social scientist specializing in technology policy, AI governance, emerging economies, and the economic implications of technological change. He is Chief Economist at micro1, where he applies economic and social science research to AI development, human capital, workforce trends, and the broader societal implications of AI. He is also a Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society and a Faculty Affiliate at the Harvard Kennedy School's Center for International Development. At Northeastern University, he is Professor of Strategy and Technology Policy, Faculty Fellow at the Center for Emerging Markets, and Affiliate Research Scientist at the Global Resilience Institute.

Mark is a Professor of Strategy and Economics at Hult International Business School and a Professorial Fellow at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Policy at Georgetown University and a Senior Advisor to Strategy&'s Ideation Center. His international policy work includes advisory and research roles with the World Economic Forum, where he contributes to initiatives on technology convergence, AI governance, advanced manufacturing, supply chains, and the circular economy. He is also Co-Founder of Nexus FrontierTech, an AI venture focused on helping organizations develop and deploy AI capabilities. Mark has authored or co-authored more than 150 publications and 13 books, including The Emerging Economies under the Dome of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, The Great Remobilization, and Digitizing the Emerging Economies. He holds a doctorate from École des Ponts ParisTech and has spent more than a decade researching and teaching economics, strategy, technology policy, and foresight across academic institutions and international policy forums.
