Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping economies across Latin America, creatingboth opportunities for productivity gains and risks of workforce disruption. While some countries are actively investing in digital infrastructure and AIecosystems, others face widening inequalities due to limited readiness, unevenworkforce exposure, and fragile policy frameworks. This paper examines AIreadiness and occupational exposure across the region, identifying key contrastsin preparedness, labor market vulnerability, and the conditions shaping aninclusive transition. It offers targeted recommendations to support inclusivegrowth by strengthening digital capacity, reskilling workers, and ensuring thatAI implementation delivers benefits across all sectors of society.
